I recently visited Jo's Coffee – South Congress, and it was an excellent experience that perfectly captures the unique charm and energy of Austin. From the moment I arrived, I was impressed by the welcoming atmosphere and friendly service. The outdoor seating area creates a relaxed environment where guests can enjoy their coffee, catch up with friends, or simply take in the vibrant surroundings. The quality of the coffee was outstanding. Every sip was rich, fresh, and expertly prepared. Jo's Coffee is famous for its iconic "I Love You So Much" mural, which has become one of Austin's most photographed landmarks. Because of all the hype, I was excited to stop by and try the drinks for myself. Unfortunately, the beverages did not quite live up to my expectations. I tried the coffee, lemonade, and chai latte, and all of them tasted fairly average. Nothing stood out as particularly memorable, and some drinks even felt a little bland. The one exception was the Turbo. It was by far my favorite item on the menu and the only drink I would strongly recommend. It has a sweet, creamy flavor that reminded me somewhat of an iced Milo, making it much more enjoyable than the other beverages I sampled. In my opinion, the biggest attraction here is not the coffee but the atmosphere and the photo opportunities. The famous mural makes this a great Instagram spot and a fun place to stop while exploring Austin. Overall, Jo's Coffee is worth visiting once for the iconic mural and to try the Turbo, but if you're looking for exceptional coffee, you may find the experience a bit overratted.

Great spot on South Congress! I got a cortado and my wife had the house blend, and both were really good. The atmosphere was even better with live music playing and people dancing, which made the place feel very lively and welcoming. Perfect place to grab coffee, relax, and enjoy the Austin vibe.

A solid choice for a coffee. Went this morning early 4/26/25 for a large iced turbo. Didnt say light ice and it had too much which is a short while in this Texas heat melts quickly and waters it down. It did taste yummyz. I went to spy with cash and I had come out without a card But they were cashless luckily I was staying next door at the hotel San Jose do I could charge or to my room. Crazy but I know businesses are doing that more now often. Didn’t have the taco since I was having breakfast but wanted to try one.

Jo’s Coffee is such a classic Austin stop, especially on South Congress. Great location, friendly service, and consistently good drinks. The Iced Turbo is definitely the must-try — strong, sweet, and super refreshing on a hot Austin day. The outdoor seating makes it a perfect spot to relax, people-watch, and soak in the SoCo vibes. Always a reliable place to start the morning or take a quick break while exploring the area.
